Description and summary
On November 17 and 18, 2025, the Coalition Québec meilleure mine held its second conference on the theme “Critical and Strategic Minerals Policy: What Voices/Paths for the Environment and the Population.” The event brought together seventy people representing 40 members and partners from across the province to learn, exchange ideas, and share their experiences. This conference was also an opportunity to reaffirm our ambitious positions on new mining policies that are already heavily affecting the rights of Indigenous peoples and local populations in Quebec and around the world. It also allowed us to jointly review our positions, strategies, and priorities in the face of the industry's rise in power and the complacency of our governments.
