Save the Boreal Forest

Canada's boreal is the largest intact forest in the world. A new foundation, the Canadian Boreal Trust, has been established to coordinate research and activities to preserve this magnificent wilderness.
MiningWatch Canada has been contracted to develop a report on threats to the boreal forest posed by mining developments. On October 19-22, 2001, MiningWatch Canada attended a gathering of environmental organizations and First Nations at Quetico Centre near Thunder Bay to discuss strategy.
