If you have found this web site and other work of MiningWatch Canada helpful, we ask you to consider making a financial contribution.

As you may know, the Canadian government restricts the advocacy work that charities are allowed to undertake. Amongst its other activities, MiningWatch Canada works to change the laws that enable destructive mining practices. If you make your contribution to MiningWatch Canada, we cannot provide you with a charitable donation receipt, but you will be helping to effect crucial changes to law and policy.

However, MiningWatch Canada does have a sister organisation, the Canary Research Institute for Mining, Environment, and Health that carries out research and education projects, and does not advocate with governments. Canadian donors to the Canary Research Institute will be given a charitable donation receipt.

As a Canadian donor to the Canary Research Institute, I will be given a charitable donation receipt. Charitable Registration # 87103 9400 RR001. Please note that online donations to the Canary Research Institute now go through CanadaHelps, a charity that processes such donations for other charities at very low cost. Your credit card bill will indicate “CanadaHelps” and CanadaHelps will issue the receipt for tax purposes -- but your donation will come to us!
